1. About the Platform

Our platform is a cloud-based Family Tree SaaS application that enables families to:

• Create digital family communities
• Build and manage family trees
• Connect family members
• Preserve family memories
• Share approved family content
• Maintain family history digitally

The Platform supports multiple independent family communities through a multi-tenant architecture. Each family operates within its own dedicated family environment.

2. User Accounts

To access certain features, users must create an account. Users agree to:

• Provide accurate information
• Maintain account security
• Keep login credentials confidential
• Update information when required
• Use the account only for lawful purposes

Users are responsible for all activities performed through their accounts.

3. Family Communities and Tenant Accounts

The Platform allows families to create independent family spaces ("Family Communities"). Each Family Community may have Family Administrators, Members, and Guests. Family Administrators manage their own family community and are responsible for:

• Managing members
• Reviewing requests
• Approving family information
• Managing shared content
• Maintaining appropriate use of the family space

4. User Roles and Responsibilities

Platform Administrator

The Platform Administrator manages the overall SaaS environment, including platform operations, subscription management, system maintenance, and technical support.

Family Administrator

Family Administrators can approve or reject membership requests, manage family tree information, review gallery submissions, and control public visibility. They are responsible for ensuring that content shared within their family community is appropriate.

Family Members

Members may view family information, submit family member requests, add memories, and upload approved content. Members must respect the privacy and rights of other family members.

Guest Users

Guests may access publicly available family information. Guest access depends on the privacy settings chosen by the family.

5. Family Tree Information

Users may contribute information including names, relationships, birth details, family history, photos, and memories. Users understand that:

• Family information may contain errors
• Relationships should be verified by family administrators
• The Platform does not independently confirm family relationships

The Platform provides tools for managing family information but does not guarantee the accuracy of user-submitted data.

6. Content Ownership

Users retain ownership of the content they upload, including photos, family stories, documents, and personal information. By uploading content, users grant the Platform a limited license to store, process, and display the content according to user permissions in order to provide the Service functionality. The Platform does not claim ownership of family-created content.

7. Content Responsibility

Users are responsible for ensuring that uploaded content belongs to them or they have permission to share, does not violate another person's privacy, does not contain unlawful material, and does not harm or misuse another person's identity. The Platform may remove content that violates these Terms.

8. Privacy and Personal Information

We respect user privacy. Personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy. Families control public visibility, member access, and shared content permissions. Users should avoid sharing sensitive information without appropriate consent.

9. Public Family Pages

Families may choose to create public pages containing family descriptions, public family tree information, approved galleries, and family stories. Families are responsible for deciding what information is made publicly available.

10. Subscription and Payments

Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscription plans may include different feature levels, storage limits, user limits, and premium services. Users agree to provide accurate billing information, pay applicable subscription fees, and manage subscription renewals.

11. Subscription Cancellation

Users may cancel subscriptions according to the available account settings. Cancellation may stop future billing and limit access to premium features. Unless required by applicable law, payments already processed may not be refundable.

12. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Platform may temporarily become unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, or security improvements.

13. AI Features

The Platform may provide AI-powered features such as family story generation, relationship suggestions, and content organization. Users understand that:

• AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies
• AI suggestions require user review
• AI output should not replace human verification

Family Administrators remain responsible for approving important family information.

14. Acceptable Use

Users must not attempt unauthorized access, modify or disrupt the platform, upload harmful files, abuse other users, use the Platform for illegal purposes, or reverse engineer the software. Violation may result in account suspension.

15. Account Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts if users violate these Terms, security risks are identified, illegal activity is detected, or services are misused. Where possible, users may be notified before termination.

16. Data Storage and Backup

We use reasonable measures to protect stored information. However, users should understand that no digital system can guarantee absolute security, and users should maintain important personal copies of valuable information.

17. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including software, design, features, branding, and technology, is owned by the Platform provider. Users may not copy, modify, or redistribute the Platform without explicit written permission.

18. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided on an "as available" basis. We are not responsible for incorrect family information, user-generated content, relationship disputes, or loss caused by misuse of accounts. Users are responsible for verifying important family information.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published on the Platform. Continued use of the platform after changes means acceptance of the updated Terms.
